There's so much to see and do in London that planning a visit can be a daunting task but this book will make the job a lot easier. There are several walks through some of the capital's most historic streets and along the river Thames which bring London's history alive. About the author: Peter Matthews was born in Bristol but has spent most of his working life in London. His fascination with London began during a family visit many years ago and he still enjoys visiting its sights and exploring its back streets as there is always something new to discover. He studied Modern Languages at King's College in the Strand before teaching English in southern Chile. On his return he worked for many years for the London Tourist Board in a number of capacities including running a very successful shop. During this time he studied to become a registered London Blue Badge Guide qualifying in 1995. He now works at the Museum of London.
